The last signs of winter are disappearing and instead of the dense snow cover, colourful spring blossoms are spreading: Snowdrops and crocuses as far as the eye can see. The awakening of spring is accompanied by spring cleaning on our farm: We scrub and clean until it is spotless, and we start fertilising and sowing the seeds in the fields.
Get up early in the morning when the fog is still hanging over the valley, walk through the forest which is full of life, smell the morning dew and then, as soon as the fog lifts, enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains, valley and nature.
The air is pleasantly fresh, there may still be small patches of snow here and there, but that doesn’t detract from the beauty of the mountain valley. This is where people come to find themselves, one step at a time, who want to let the mountains work their magic and feel the stillness all around them.
The village of Casere is there where the Ahrntal valley ends, at the head of the valley. All year round, the little church of the Holy Spirit located there is a centre of attraction for young and old. If you are in Casere at the right time, you can marvel at the sea of crocuses in full bloom. An almost heavenly spectacle!
Stroll through the colourful alleys, stop here and there in front of spring-like decorated shop windows, watch the lively hustle and bustle at the farmers’ market, let the first warm rays of sunshine warm your soul and enjoy a sparkling aperitif.
Not only visitors from afar, but also one or the other South Tyrolean are regularly drawn to the gardens. Perhaps because summer is taking its time in some places and Mother Holle is not yet ready to leave, but also because the splendour of the flowers makes for some sunny moments. On around 12 hectares, 80 garden landscapes show their most beautiful side.
